Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Honai Math (JHM) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and publishing original scholarly work. All submitted manuscripts are screened for textual similarity using iThenticate or Turnitin before entering the peer review process. The maximum acceptable overall similarity index is 25%, with no more than 3% similarity from any single source. Manuscripts exceeding either threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected following editorial assessment.

The similarity report is evaluated by the editorial team to identify potential plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, unattributed text reuse, redundant publication, and other forms of academic misconduct. The similarity index alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred. Editorial decisions take into account the nature, location, extent, and context of the matched text, including whether sources have been appropriately cited and quotations have been properly identified. A manuscript that falls below the specified thresholds may still be rejected if substantial unattributed overlap or other evidence of publication misconduct is identified.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly referenced, and compliant with accepted standards of scholarly writing. All sources, including ideas, text, data, figures, tables, and other materials originating from other works, must be appropriately acknowledged, and permission must be obtained where required. Manuscripts identified as potentially involving plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct will be handled in accordance with JHM's publication ethics policies and applicable guidance from recognized scholarly publishing organizations. Finally, the language of publication in JHM is English. Authors are expected to ensure that manuscripts are written in clear, accurate, and academically appropriate English before submission.
