1. Initial Submission Review
   • Upon submission, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the journal’s editorial team. This review focuses on the overall quality of the manuscript, including adherence to the journal's submission guidelines, proper formatting, and whether the topic fits within the scope of the journal.
   • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic submission requirements or are not within the journal’s scope may be rejected at this stage.
2. Assignment to Reviewers
   • If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the editor assigns it to two or more independent peer reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of study. These reviewers are typically researchers, academics, or professionals with substantial experience in the subject matter of the manuscript.
   • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, and they provide an impartial and objective evaluation of the manuscript.
3. Reviewer Evaluation
   • Reviewers assess various aspects of the manuscript, including but not limited to:
     • Quality of Research: The significance and originality of the research, the clarity of the research questions, and the methodology used.
     • Literature Review: Whether the manuscript includes a comprehensive and up-to-date review of relevant literature.
     • Data Analysis: The accuracy and validity of the data analysis and interpretation of results.

     • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires small revisions, and the author is given a set period to make the necessary changes and resubmit it for a second round of review.
     • Major Revisions: The manuscript needs significant improvements before it can be reconsidered for publication. Authors will be asked to address the reviewers' comments and provide a revised manuscript for another round of review.
     • Decline: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in the journal due to various reasons, such as low quality, lack of novelty, or failure to meet the journal’s standards.
   • The editor will communicate the decision to the author along with reviewer comments, if applicable.
5. Revision and Resubmission
   • If the manuscript is returned for revisions (either minor or major), the author must address all the reviewers’ comments and suggestions.
   • The revised manuscript is then reviewed by the same set of reviewers (whenever possible) to ensure that the necessary revisions have been made and the manuscript meets the required standards.
   • Authors may be asked to make additional revisions after this second round of review.
6. Final Decision
   • After successful revision and approval from the reviewers, the manuscript is accepted for publication. At this stage, the manuscript enters the final editing process to ensure that it meets the journal's publication standards.
   • The author will be notified of the acceptance, and the manuscript will be scheduled for publication in the next available issue of Inornatus: Biology Education Journal.
7. Confidentiality and Ethics
   • Inornatus: Biology Education Journal ensures that all submissions undergo a confidential review process. Reviewers are expected to keep the manuscript content confidential and avoid using it for personal gain.
   • The peer review process is conducted with the utmost integrity, ensuring that reviews are unbiased, objective, and constructive. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and are prohibited from reviewing manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
