PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA NEGERI 1 MARIKIT

Abstrak
Pendidikan adalah proses pengubahan sikap dan tata laku seseorang atau kelompok orang dalam usaha mendewasakan manusia melalui upaya pengajaran dan pelatihan; proses, cara, perbuatan mendidik.Melalui pendidikan manusia diharapkan agar menjadi berilmu pengetahuan, kreativitas, sehat jasmani dan rohani, kepribadian yang baik, mandiri, dan bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif kimia peserta didik pada materi bentuk molekul sub materi menentukan atom pusat, PEI dan PEB dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelas X MIPA pada SMA Negeri 1 Marikit dengan sampel yang berjumlah 12 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar pengamatan (observasi). Hasil penelitian pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I yaitu 55 dengan persentase 25%. Siklus II, diperoleh rata-rata nilai evaluasi peserta didik 76, 77 dan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 75%. Kemudian pada siklus III terjadi peningkatan kembali terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu diperoleh rata-rata nilai evaluasi peserta didik 88,33 dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 91,67%. Pengamatan terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terdapat tanggapan yang baik dari peserta didik.
